TLC Turns 5!!!

TLC - learning to live life on your terms ❤️

I know there’s been things in the news recently about reflecting over the past five years and what was happening around five years ago. March 2020 was pivotal in our lifetime and our societies in so many ways.

For me, March 2020 marked something very special. It saw the launch of my online community TLC, TRUE Leaders Community - all about respecting our true selves and acknowledging that in how we lead our lives.  I’m hosting a party and you’re invited!

Why did I start TLC?

TLC came about because I’d been helping many women transform their lives on an individual basis and I wanted to bring that knowledge and experience together into a supportive group community. It was always designed to be online, and it was always designed to be based around a supportive community brought together via group calls. Little did we know just how important that would become in 2020.

Since March 2020 I’ve hosted 96 TLC group coaching calls and 5 TLC book club calls (we started these in 2024). That’s over 100 calls! To celebrate I’d love to invite you to join in our special anniversary TLC call - I really hope you can join us!

What is TLC?

TLC is like a secret weapon for its members - the calls give us all time and space to celebrate our successes, share our challenges, and most importantly reset to enable us to move forward in a way that honours each of our unique approaches to life.

TLC reminds us to live *our* life, not the one anyone else wants or expects of us.

TLC reminds us that we have to put our own oxygen mask on before we can put anyone else’s on.

TLC reminds us how special and unique we are and reminds us of the conscious choices we want to make so that we continue to live a life that feels right for us.

Every TLC member is different. But we all have one common thread - we know we deserve to enjoy our life, not just survive. And we know we are the ones in control of that.

TLC brings together all of my lived experience as a conscientious perfectionist, an adventure seeker, a neurodiverse business owner, a daughter/sister/partner/friend, and an childlike easy-going person who just wants to explore the world, have fun and do cartwheels on the beach!

Me doing a cartwheel on the beach in Skegness in March 2025 - doesn’t every 40 year old cartwheel when they get to the beach?! 🙈

TLC brings together all of my experience in education (I worked in universities for over 10 years and since then have facilitated over 100 workshops and 10 different leadership programmes), coaching (I’ve supported more than 100 women and have over 500hrs coaching experience) and personal development (I have something in common with one of my own coaches Liz Ivory when I say I’ve done as many courses as Red Rum!).

TLC brings together my passions in helping people overcome imposter syndrome, get rid of the social conditioning that isn’t helping them, and enable them to shine.

TLC allows people to understand who they are and start living their life according to their rules, not anyone else’s.

All this is definitely worth celebrating.

So I’m hosting a party and you’re invited!

What? TLC’s 5 Year Anniversary Party

Where? Zoom (I’ll send you the link once you’ve confirmed you can come)

When? Thursday 27th March 2025, 6-7pm

The party will follow the same format as our regular TLC calls. Many of our members will be there and we’ll be using the same principles as always of being open, respectful and supportive of everyone on the call.

We’ll start with a short 5-10 minute grounding practice (I’ll guide us through this) and then we’ll open up discussion to celebrate our successes and share current challenges and talk about ways to continue to support our life going forward.

Conversation topics vary but include things like:

  • Gaining clarity and focus

  • Prioritising different aspects of life

  • Managing relationships

  • Finding more time and space for things you enjoy

  • Recognising and appreciating our unique qualities

  • Getting the right balance in life

  • Coping with uncertainty

You’ll come away with practical tips and advice to support you going forward (we finish every call with everyone sharing what they are taking forward as a result of the call).

I’d love to have you join us, and please also invite a friend!

If you can’t join the call this time but would like to hear more about TLC and come along to a future call, please join my mailing list to receive updates.
